When When my boys were growing up, I drove a Toyota Sienna van which was big, tricky to maneuver in traffic and hard to park. Now, with my Prius, I zip through traffic and fit into most parking spaces. A Costco employee recently marveled at how I quickly swung into a tight parking stall in the crowded lot; I owed that to the Prius’s excellent turning radius.
Safety is improved with better visibility and the ability to more easily determine how much space the vehicle occupies. This is helpful when competing for road space with gas-guzzling SUVs and macho-man lifted four-wheel drives.
From From the outside, the Prius looks small but the interior is deceivingly roomy. The back seat, about the same size as a Camry, has no problem carrying several tall teenage football players and hauling my son’s tuba in the hatchback area.
I I bought my Prius three years ago to lessen my carbon footprint on this earth. The Prius uses a lot less gasoline than the normal car. I fill my tank about every week and a half with five to seven gallons of gas. I average about 50 miles per gallon. The car’s computer optimizes gas consumption and battery charging. For example, when I’m at the stoplight, the engine turns off. This reduces the emissions to the atmosphere. If everyone drove a Prius, the impact on global warming would decrease and the United States would be less dependent on foreign oil.
Welcome Welcome to my blog about the joys of owning a Prius. I invite you to share y0ur positive experiences about this wonderful car so that we may convince others to join the Prius family.
